we have h263 running with cif

yipeee! we finally have H.263 running..
after the struggle of the past one week ..trying to get it to run..actually getting it to run is anti climatic..

the goalpost has been moved though now our target is now 4cif..i am not even sure if sdl supports it :( will have to spend more time trying to understand how the capability signalling takes place and how to change the buffer sizes :( work work work

looking also at the integration of this beast with the pctvt project interface..java again..for someone who bosts to be a java expert it should be easy..but it is not..:(

of late i have been using a lot of sad :('s everywhere ...pressure maybe
just let this deadline of 5th june in cmu and 10th june for Microsoft get over with..
i want to go home and spend some time doing nothing..
who would have thought that i would work harder during the summer than i have ever done in the 3 years i have been here!

well its rewarding work..hopefully ppl will count me in as someone who will work if his ass is on the line

gtg hemant is here
work to do

getting closer to h.263

today we got ohphone compiled with h263 support enabled. This was thanks to the help and ideas given by Guilhem Tardy and the patch put in by Craig.

We still dont have ohphone running though..h263 now shows in the list of codecs supported..the sdl window pops up and then without any video coming on the screen ohphone crashes..somewhere in the rfc2190 codec::read

going through the traces and trying to debug it..
can be pretty frustrating at times :(

any ideas anyone?
do tell me at

ohphone H.263 CIF

The easiest way to create an H.263 capability is:
new H323_FFH263Capability();

I have tried doing this but it does not work...maybe I am not doing it
right.
could you tell me what and where should I put in ohphone to enable h.263
cif on windows?
your help is as always greatly appreciated.
jayaram
.............

When I run ohphone with -D261 this is the output I get before ohphone
crashes.

OhPhone Version 1.4.3 by Open H323 Project on Windows XP (v5.1.2600-i586)
.....
.....

Sound output device: "Realtek AC97 Audio"
Sound input device: "Logitech Mic (Notebooks Pro)"
G.711 frame size: 30
GSM frame size: 4
User Input Send Mode: as H.245 string
Codecs (in preference order):
Table:
UserInput/hookflash <1>
UserInput/basicString <2>
UserInput/dtmf <3>
UserInput/RFC2833 <4>
Set:
0:
0:

After this an error message pops up saying ohphone has to close.

When compiling I get this message about detecting rfc2190 codec

Searching C:Located ffmpeg RFC2190 AVCODEC Library at
C:\msys\1.0\home\Pctvt\ffmpeg\libavcodec Audio Software Codecs enabled
Video System enabled
ffmpeg RFC2190 AVCODEC Library enabled
....

and while the libraries are being built I get this message

ffh263codec.cxx
Non-standard H.263 codecs disabled as RFC2190 H.263 is enabled
codecs.cxx
......

I have been able to get 263 working in linux but only qcif...
How do I get ohphone to use H.263 and transmit CIF on widows?
what do I seem to be doing wrong?
I think it is important to point out here that I had to comment out the
lines
#if H323_RFC2190_AVCODEC
ADD_VIDEO_CAPAB (H323_RFC2190_H263Capability);

ohphone openh323...h263

today was a very very frustrating day!!
I spent the whole night yesterday trying to compile and get running ohphone and openh323.each and every time there would be some error and i would have to restart....this really frustrates me.
I finally went to sleep at around 8 in the morning and came back around 1...and voila everything was compiled.
took permission and went out to see the doctor..doctor gave some pretty bad news....
he says i have torn a ligament in my leg ...pretty bad too...
he wants to do an orthoscopy around the 7th of june....all very very scary stuff...
Now i am back from the doctors and trying once again to get h263 working but to no avail
:(
god i am really frustrated

this is my first blog on blogger.
I do have a blog on opera blogs which i try and maintain whenever i get time.
The primary purpose of these blogs is to try and get a query in google containing my name
jayaram
to come somewhere on the first page rather than the 4-5 page where it appears currently
anyone with any idea of how to do it?
